NCHO Faculty Partnership and Academic Collaboration Award Information
As the NCHO Professional Development Chair, I invite you to nominate a faculty member from your institution for our Faculty Partnership and Academic Collaboration Award!
With the Faculty Partnership and Academic Collaboration Award, the North Carolina Housing Officers (NCHO) wants to recognize the outstanding contributions of an academic faculty member or partner to the housing and residence life department at their institution. We seek to honor a faculty or staff member who has helped to bridge the gap between faculty and student affairs professionals, has enhanced the out-of-classroom experience of residential students, and has gone beyond the call of duty to further the sense of community on their campus. The selected faculty or staff member will be honored at the NCHO 2014 Conference in Greensboro, NC, receive free registration and hotel accommodations, and have the opportunity to present a program session.
All institutions are encouraged to participate in this program by nominating deserving individuals.  All nominations are to be no longer than 2 pages with 12 point Times New Roman font. Nominations should be accompanied by a title page (the title page is not included in the two page limit) that includes:
1) The nominee’s name, title, address, phone number, e-mail address, institution
2) The nominator’s name, title, address, phone number, e-mail address, and institution.
The nomination should clearly explain the ways in which the faculty member or academic partner has interacted with residence life professionals and residential students within the past year in order to create a seamless environment of learning on their campus.

Please submit your nomination via email to Paige Abe at pabe@email.unc.edu by Wednesday, August 27th, 2014. The nominations will be reviewed by the members of the NCHO Professional Development Committee and the winner will be notified by September 15, 2014 in order to confirm their attendance at the annual NCHO conference.
Paige Abe
NCHO Professional Development Committee Chair
