Regional Entry Level Institute (RELI) Scholarship Description

About RELI:

RELI is an intensive three-day professional development seminar featuring activities for entry-level professionals who aspire to mid-level positions in housing and residential life. Individuals with one to three years full-time housing experience are invited to apply.

Participants and RELI faculty reside together in suites and apartments, traditionally at the University of Mississippi, while attending the Institute, mixing faculty and participants to foster an environment of discussion and informal conversation about the Institute's topics and competencies. Short term and long term professional goals are developed within the context of this living and learning relationship between faculty and RELI participants.

Guidelines:

  • NCHO will offer two $150 scholarships to a housing/residence life professional working in the state of North Carolina to attend the Regional Entry Level Institute (RELI).

  • Recipient selection is the responsibility of NCHO.

  • The Awards Committee will supervise the selection process.

  • Applications are due by determined date.

  • Applicant must be wiling to write an account of the conference experience to the NCHO Past President following the conclusion of the institute for possible publication.

  • Applicant must be willing to facilitate a program during the annual conference based on something they gained as the result of attending RELI. If candidate cannot attend the annual conference, they may be asked to submit the same information in the form of an article for the Signpost or SEAHO Report.

  • The Executive Council of NCHO will establish criteria for selection.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must have been accepted into RELI.

  • Candidate who exhibits a financial need.
