Southeastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO) Scholarship Description

Guidelines:

  • NCHO will offer a scholarship equal to registration costs to a housing/residence life professional working in the state of North Carolina to attend the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers Conference (SEAHO).

  • Recipient selection is the responsibility of NCHO.

  • The Awards Committee will supervise the selection process. Selection will take place in January.

  • Applications are due by determined date.

  • Applicant must be willing to write an account of the conference experience to the NCHO President following the conclusion of the conference for possible publication.

  • Applicant must be willing to facilitate a program during the annual conference based on something they gained as the result of attending SEAHO. If candidate cannot attend the annual conference, they may be asked to submit the same information in the form an article for the Signpost or SEAHO Report.

  • The Executive Council of NCHO will establish criteria for selection.

Eligibility:

  • Candidate who exhibits a financial need.

  • Candidate with at least 1-2 years working in housing/residence life.
